The Program Director has the qualifications and business acumen to manage multiple, large scale, global, high risk, strategic SAP and non-SAP projects that span process and organizational boundaries and service different partners/vendors.? The Program Director provides leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria while ensuring adherence to program management methodology practices.? The Program Director leads project discovery and delivery model proposal efforts including project structure, organization, scoping, estimation and risk assessment.? The Project Director will have the ability to manage multiple complex projects that require coordination of work between various parties, in support of Glatfelter’s organizational vision and digital transformation.?

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage relationships with project stakeholders at all levels, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
Lead opportunity discovery efforts including business case development, project scoping, organization, estimating, resource planning; assess, document and communicate project risks.
Conduct the project planning activities and manage the execution of multiple large scale, high risk, or strategic projects according to plan.
Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline.
Evaluate complex situations accurately and identify viable solutions that create successful outcomes for the organizational unit.
Ensure proper use of methodology, tools and procedures and proper governance is in place to best meet project objectives.
Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance.
Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.
Communicate and/or escalate project issues early to Executive leadership, account management and delivery management.
Establish and implement continuous improvement strategy for business processes
Drive global harmonization and standardization of processes (blueprinting) by reducing complexity as well as increasing transparency and accountability.
Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story.
Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases; analyze lessons learned and share with the organization’s project management community.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
15+ years project management experience required with multiple large scale, global, high risk, SAP and non-SAP strategic projects, start to finish. Past consulting experience desired.
Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology.
Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining multiple global project deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan, status reports, project timesheets, communications plan, budget and schedule.
Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

Competencies

Inherent business acumen with an in-depth understanding of end to end business processes (IT strategy, platform strategy, integration, collaboration and SAP solutions).
Ability to fully understand, measure and manage finances both for project costs and returns
Ability to facilitate and implement initiatives or large-scale change by conceiving, communicating vision, defining scope of work, managing time, resources, costs & stakeholders etc.
Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely across, up and down organizational boundaries, to include change management communications, marketing communications and executive communications.

This position focuses on the front-end presentation layer, within the Business Intelligence landscape.
